wort weekgo

Here's Thursday - still nothing creative happening.
Sunday was spent chasing the elusive leak from the shower, then stripping out all the old sealant.
Monday we were visiting Eileen, Luke and Alex - got home too late to think about anything, but we did get some good pics of the family and picked up some fabrics from Dunelm on the way home.
Tuesday we resealed the shower.
Wednesday we did some gardening.
Today I started decorating the en-suite and there'll be more of that tomorrow. We're being visited by grandchildren tomorrow and then Saturday will be back to the house cleaning.
Strikes me that there's no need to be creative - there's enough being created for our entertainment without us starting anything!!
Maybe next week will be better!! (Another pink one just flew past!!)

A day out

We did some bits for my hobby today - visiting the opening day for the YPU exhibition (lots of excellent photographs) and Andy Sumner's exhibition at Nunnington Hall (not to be repeated), then to Northallerton (fine cheeses at Lewis and Cooper) and on to Teesside Park for shopping at Hobbycraft, PC World, Maplins etc., not forgetting the Tomato Juice from Morrisons.

So a day of involving ourselves with other people's works and getting more supplies, but not getting any of our stuff done - maybe tomorrow!!

Still busy

Yesterday was a blur - an early lunch then early dinner before the camera club in the evening. Throw in the walk and a bit of cleaning and discovering what may be a leak from the shower meant no creative time for us.

Today hasn't been much better, with further shower investigation and bits from Homebase, vinyl from Beevers and then a trip to Scarborough. The trip to Scarborough included an exhibition by the Scarborough Stitchers, who seemed to be working at a good level, with some interesting embroidery, but who were another closed shop - they don't want and aren't looking for any more members. Shame, but we'll keep looking. At least we got into Boyes for some hobby supplies before collecting Ruth and visiting mother - Yahoo!!

The saving Grace was a good Chinese on the way home - now it's time to relax and settle down at last.

Busy days

Not a great deal of creativity today, apart from finding a CD with interesting sea sounds - they may come in useful.

This morning Viv was at the hairdressers' becoming even more beautiful (can you believe that it could be possible?) while I cut the grass before the rain (and after clearing up the messages from the neighbourhood cats).

The washing went out and back in again. The mail came and went. E-mails were attended to and the meter read for the poor hard up power company who can't send a meter reader!! Some lunch in town and a trip to the fishmonger - nothing much else happens on a Wednesday afternoon, because evidently a half day closing is the rule.

Anyway, the fish was prepared and cooked and we cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. The ironing got done. So there wasn't much time for much else again, but a satisfying day when we got things done. We'll maybe have some free time tomorrow!!

Another cistus showed itself today - Summer is really on its way!! Life can be pretty good even if creaative bits don't happen - as long as it's not for too long!!

Gardens and rain

Nothing creative today, unless you count the dead heading and weeding in the garden between showers. The first cistus appeared this morning - bad day to make a debut, but good to see. Summer must be nearly upon us.

Viv has been getting good feedback from her postings. All very well deserved.

We had an hour in town for a bit of grocery shopping, to save time tomorrow. Then by the time we'd got things put away and dinner on, the day was almost done. Now it's thundering outside and there's a bottle of Rioja opened, so time to settle down and enjoy the evening.

Blogging at last

Well. After about a month, I've finally found time to blog - wortdego indeed.

We've been getting a little time in to our hobbies over the last day or two. Viv's finished her daffodil piece and moved onto the next stage in her creative group project and published them both on the web. I've put together an AV for the club competition (including a soundtrack) and joined the PSA.

We've kept on top of the housework and garden and kept ourselves well fed, so not too bad. Maybe there's hope for us yet.

Viv's seen her 'connections' pieces on the web too, so it looks as though the AP trip is on at last.

Things are pretty good just now. Long may it continue.

Wort Dego Indeed !!

We both like wild flowers (specially worts) and Steve used to look like a bit of a Dego (maybe still does) and it's a question we keep asking ourselves, so here we go.

It happens all the time.

Just when you think there's a free period, something crops up and your playtime has been cruelly used up for what is usually considered to be a far more worthy cause.

Meanwhile we don't get on with the creative things that make life so wortwhile.

If you've seen one hanging around, or have the answer let us know.

Whatever you do - Keep smiling
